Our Operating Principles

Our Operating Principles

Safety, legality, innovation, competence, environmental protection, sustainability, and service orientation are at the core of the company’s daily commitment, shaping its business and environmental strategy, which originates from the public nature of the company itself.

To achieve its objectives, Veritas follows a continuous adaptation process, mainly by establishing an adequate corporate organization and a few strategic participating companies, also through partnerships, joint ventures, collaborations with selected suppliers, and other forms of cooperation and development, even outside its core territory regarding industrial logic.

Veritas manages its financial policy by using resources efficiently, responsibly, and in a way that produces long-term benefits, in a service-oriented logic for investments in public infrastructure and the activities it carries out on behalf of the community it belongs to.

History

The company was founded in 2007 from the merger of the public companies Acm of Dolo, Asp of Chioggia, Spim of Mogliano Veneto, and Vesta Venezia, which managed local public and collective urban services across the provinces of Venice and Treviso.

Since then, it has carried out territorial and service development while simultaneously rationalizing operations. Extraordinary corporate operations have been numerous, driven by the increased scale and new boundaries of public services, often required by general regulations and the owning municipalities.

Group companies

Group companies

The Veritas Group is composed of the parent company Veritas, six subsidiaries, and other associated and participating companies.

Over the years, Veritas has adapted its standards to the changes in the territory and its communities, trying, where possible, to anticipate them. Thanks to a long process of corporate rationalization and mergers, the company has grown, achieving significant industrial scale and a solid, reliable organization that evolves thanks to the skills of its employees and achieves continuous and tangible results, including cost containment and applied tariffs.

Today Veritas is a Group that respects the characteristics of the territories, experiences, and cultures, considering specificity as a strength and a value to safeguard and promote. Over the years, the associated companies have been reorganized, and this operation is still ongoing to eliminate companies whose activities can be better reallocated and rationalized. Only companies with recognized industrial and service characteristics essential to maintaining territorial competitiveness are therefore destined to develop and consolidate.
